If these commitments excite you, we would love to talk.  The Lead Vehicle Integration Engineer will work closely with the Program Team, the CAD Design team, and Design Release Engineering teams to determine the Architectural Functional Objectives of a new Architecture for the company.  Through specific functional targeting and benchmarking, this engineer will work with these teams to determine program feasibility through design and content definition. 

This engineer should have a strong background in functional areas such as NVH, Impact, Dynamics, as well as Body and/or Chassis Design, preferably understand all disciplines and design criteria.  Additionally, they should be able to discuss and understand the occupant layout space of an automobile and be an excellent evaluator of automobiles from every aspect of the product.


  • Create and maintain technical specifications for the vehicle architecture;
  • Lead regular Vehicle Integration reviews with the broader team to develop and achieve all Architecture targets;
  • Develop and execute testing and validation of the Architecture with documentation via DVP&R;
  • Meet all performance, packaging, cost and timing objectives;
  • Lead, or support, any required body and chassis tuning programs;
  • Lead virtual and physical validation efforts for both the Design Verification and Process Verification phases of the program;
  • Act as Technical Lead for body construction and suspension architecture, kinematics, compliance;
  • Manage architecture team proactively, with focused program management mind-set.   Lead project from start to finish;
  • Support body and chassis development / testing strategy and timing plan to ensure compatibility with overall program; monitor resources as required to minimize risks; ;
  • Ensure system meets certification requirements for FMVSS and ECE.  Support with data & testing;
  • Support prototype and production assembly events at domestic or international locations.


  • BS Mechanical Engineering;
  • 10 years’ experience in vehicle development (NVH, Impact, Dynamics and/or Body or Chassis design);
  • Prior experience with evaluation of automobiles;
  • Experience with virtual simulation tools for the above disciplines;
