The Karma Automotive Quality organization is seeking a candidate with automotive experience that will support the operations departments of our assembly plant to drive and deliver “Zero Defects” products and process to our customers.   Work will be conducted in a team environment supported by functional support organizations to assure the final product to our customers is nothing short of the “Highest Quality vehicle in its Class”. 

The Quality Control Engineer position will lead, coach, monitor and drive actions in the assembly operations to assure our teams, products and process are performing at their best.   Measuring success and driving continuous improvement through hands-on involvement sets the stage for this position, in our ever growing and expanding company. 


  • Verify vehicle product compliance to prescribe Quality standards and requirements of Karma Automotive.  In addition to governmental and regulatory procedures requirements. 
  • Identified variance to standard by utilizing highly skilled team members to audit and inspect vehicle -appearance, functions and initial quality, through a series of test utilizing static and dynamic evaluations prescribe in our audit criteria.  
  • Supervise, train and audit team members to execute standardized work to audit vehicles. 
  • Summarize and communicate findings to respective teams, organizations and suppliers, and assign owners to all issues.  Track & monitor performance. 
  • Manage Glidepath’s on overall vehicle and sub-systems to assure continuous improvement - to obtain “Zero Defects”. 
  • Measure performance of all contributors to issues and engage with assignees to assure appropriate actions will deliver expected results.  
  • Gather information from dealers, service and customers on customer satisfaction and product issues to feedback to the respective organizations for immediate containments and response. 
  • Manage any developments that may require vehicle reprocessing and reviews, holding & managing vehicles until resolution is identified.  Coordinate all containment activities and follow-up. 
  • Manage “Batch & Hold” vehicle reviews and releases for all new product Launches.
  • Analyze quality data to prioritize and resolve issues using statistical tools such as Statistical Engineering, Design of Experiments, and common & advanced quality analysis tools.  
  • Serve as liaison between all supporting organizations and suppliers to assure quality and reliability of our vehicles and compliance to change management
  • Manage Layer Audit reviews by the organization to assure system conformance.   Track & Monitor performance.


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • Strong Analytical Skills utilizing common and advance quality tools – demonstrated
  • Lean/Quality production system proficiency with demonstrated achievements
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in OEM Automotive Manufacturing or Quality with leadership roles
  • MS Office proficiency including presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and must be comfortable with working with people at all levels of the Organization
  • ISO 9001 / TS 16949 audit experienced


  • Green Belt I/ Black Belt in Six Sigma preferred
  • Statistical Engineering (Shainin, Taguchi, etc.) preferred
