Senior Systems Engineer, SAP sought by Karma Automotive, LLC in Irvine, CA.

Duties: Develop and maintain enterprise-wide programs to enhance the company's SAP (systems, applications and products in data processing) infrastructure. Design new portal modules and applications. Collaborate with Project Management, Business and Systems Analysts, and Business Partners to develop specifications for system enhancements for continuous functional improvement across the SAP platform and security, network, infrastructure/operations, and customer support management subsystems. Research, design, create, document, implement, maintain, and support systems related to Karma's ERP suite of software products. Develop and support SAP systems and provide proactive technical solutions to SAP Enterprise Portal issues, based on SAP programming and related protocols and technologies. Design and develop SAP system solutions which meet security, network, infrastructure, and operations requirements. Develop, maintain, monitor, and manage SAP data loads and functions. Document test plans and complete unit testing of developed objects to meet expected performance quality levels. Lead research and analysis projects to identify business requirements and translate them into effective systems design. Perform tuning of objects and SAP systems while simultaneously utilizing best practices. Participate in design reviews, develop documentation and procedures, and support the end user community. Troubleshoot highly complex system/process related issues. Redesign, customize, and configure ERP functions and processes. Participate in system emergency or crisis situations to define and implement workaround processes, corrective actions, communication, and system clean-up activities. Maintain connectivity and single sign-on with other SAP and Non-SAP systems. Perform portal identity management and develop roles, authorizations, and user management within the company software. Configure ERP software to satisfy business requirements and process design. Conduct post-installation system review.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive SAP development, or related experience in the automotive, machinery, or manufacturing industries; working with full life cycle SAP implementation, including production planning, materials management, and warehouse management; performing integration with sales and distribution, materials management, quality management, warehouse management, plant maintenance, and finance and controlling SAP modules; working with ERP Central Component (ECC); and gathering requirements.
