The Vehicle Integration & Validation Intern will create test plans and services for the inventory database.



Responsibilities

Projects include:

  • VI Test plan – create inventory database
  • VI Test services –  develop catalog
  • VI Test equipment – create calibration process
  • Prototype vehicle build – access timing  
  • Vehicle test allocation – access readiness  
  • Current K1 2.0 Program and H-Program Vehicle Integration Process Development including Benchmarking and Target Setting
  • Exposure to the development of a new “Ground up” Program
  • Exposure to Vehicle Integration program processes and development challenges for the entire vehicle.
  • Plant Support @ MVAP
  • Document/review Vehicle Build Quality issues.
  • Test/Validate DVT (build instruction deviations) prior to issuing to plant personnel.
  • Test/Validate vehicle level PTR (production trial run)
  • 2.0 Vehicle Build support (body shop, paint shop, general assembly)
  • Document 2.0 build issues in JIRA (issue management system).
  • Confirm previous build issues (JIRA) have been resolved.
  • Support vehicle security policy (camo)
  • Support vehicle level instrumentation.
  • Review/document issues with build instructions.



Qualifications

Education

  • Enrolled in a mechanical or electrical engineering program

Skills

  • Proficient with desktop software (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Personal

  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Passion for automotive
  • Can track multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Reliable, innovative, committed self-starter, with a focus on quality
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
  • Possess the desire and ability to learn new technologies
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
  • Possess physical capabilities required for the workload
  • Possess a valid US driver’s license
